Production


Stock of prepared menu items which are prepared in advance( before customer places an order )can be tracked from Production. For example let's say, each day a restaurant prepares 10 pieces of Mango milk shake, and to make 10 pieces of Mango milk shake, say, the restaurant requires 1 Liter Milk, 300 grams sugar and .5 kg Sugar syrup. The raw materials (and their quantity) required to prepare the menu item are defined as Bill of Materials (BOM) and the stock of the menu item (Mango Milk shake) is tracked from Production.


Production can be managed in the following ways in Just Billing Windows Pro application:


  1. Create BOM from Back office
  2. Create BOM from JB Android application
  3. Create BOM from JB Windows


Note: Bill of Materials can only be specified Make products (Procurement Method = Make). To create a BOM with the raw materials, stock for raw materials = more than 0 or as required.


Creating BOM / Production from Just Billing Android Application


  • Log into Just Billing Application.
  • Branch login corresponds to branch name which prepares the item.
  • Navigate to Menu > Transactions > Production page.
  • Select the product that you want to do production. ( Example : Mango Milk Shake )
  • Verify that the Procurement Method for this product is marked as Make if it is not available.
  • In finished goods select the product ( Product that you want to prepare )
  • Enter quantity that you want to prepare ( How much quantity you are preparing )
  • Click on Add Raw Materials
  • Select raw material product and add quantity of the product that you are using for preparing the final product.
  • If you have multiple products add all of them along with quantity that you are using for preparing final product.
  • Click on proceed and Save the details
  • You have option to save as BOM " use this option to save as bill of material where you can use the same BOM for next production.
  • You have option to save as Production " use this option to save as production where the inventory of final product gets added and inventory of raw materials will reduce.


NOTE: Multiple BOM can be added for the same product. In case of multiple BOM, select a Default BOM.

The above screen shot indicates that in order to prepare 10 pieces of Mango Milk Shake , raw materials (BOM) required are 1litre Milk, 0.3 Kg Suagar and .5 Liter Sugar Syrup.


Note: When you enter the Quantity for raw materials, application automatically calculates its cost price. If you want to add additional costs such as the labour cost, overhead cost, loading cost and wastage cost, you can do so manually and Save the record. The unit cost of production in this case will be calculated by considering the Material Cost + Additional Cost (Labour/Overhead/Loading/Wastage).


  • On saving the BOM, data from Just Billing application gets synchronized with back office.
  • To view the BOM detail sync'd, log in to back office and navigate to the Product page.
  • Search for the make product name e.g Egg Soft Noodles and check the BOM from the bottom of the screen.


Note: Automatically synchronize of data from back office to application and vice versa.
