Item level Discount


In Just Billing Android, item level discount can be provided on products based on various factors.


Here we will be discussing, how you can configure and add item level discounts.

1. How to provide item level discount from Billing cart?


To provide item level discount from the Billing cart, you need to:


  • Add item(s) to the cart.
  • Tap on an item from the cart.  (see figure 1)


This opens a screen where you can change the Unit Price, Sales Amount and Quantity for the item and add a Discount Rate or Discount Amount for the item.


  • Define a discount percentage or Amount and tap on Add Product.  (see figure 2)

The discounted price will show in the cart against the item.  (see figure 3)

2. How to configure item level discount from Product Prices page?


  • To configure item level discount from Product Prices page, you need to first define item level discounts from back office. To know more on how you can define item level discount from back office, please refer the Back Office document.


  • The item level discount configured in back office, will have to be downloaded to the app.


  • From menu, navigate to Masters > Product Prices page.


  • Select an item against which you want to provide discount, select Price Catalogue and a discount rate from the Discount Rate drop down and Save.

The discounted price will show in the cart against the item.

Now, the discounted price of the item will show in the billing screen, product section.


The item level discount can be of any type - simple percentage based discount like 10% discount, complimentary where the item will be available as a complimentary item along with another product. It can also be a promo code, as configured in the back office.
